Harvest Festival '07 At The Barn
Best of the Best Cornshuckers.
What a fun weekend here at the Barn. On Friday night we had a barn full of great folks. Meier Travel was here with a nice group of seniors. Thanks for bringing them Brian. The Jacksons, the Johnsons, the Walters, the Mourns, the Neals, the Crapo Bunch, the Catherwoods, the Havensteins, the Palms, the Joussettes, the Leonces, the Striemers, the Hayes, and the Websters were all here. Thanks for coming this weekend folks.
Saturday began at 1pm with our Ice Cream Social & Music Jam. Thanks to Eddie, Auntie Rena, Charron, Rylan & Trevor for making the tunes for the Jam.
Then the games began. There were arts & crafts for the kids, the Great Canadian Quilting Club from Glenwood and Hill Spring were here instructing how to tie a quilt. They had some very nice ones framed out and they had quite a few people helping them tie. Thanks ladies for coming.
We headed outside for the gunny sack and three legged races. There were some speedy competitors. The tug of war was a lot fun too. The corn husking contest was way too much fun. Thanks to all competitors for not getting too corny and staying focussed on the husk at hand. Our scarecrow beauty pagent was really neat. Some very creative folks had some fun designing there own scarecrow. Congratulations to our winners.
Then of course, the roast beef dinner, dance lessons, hayride and the dance with the Barn Dance All Stars. What a great way to end off our regular season here at the Barn.
I think it's safe to say our 1st Annual Summer's End Harvest Festival was a complete success. So look for our 2nd Annual next year. Thanks again to everyone who attended.

Good Fun, Good People, Of Course It's The Good Sams - The Alberta Good Sams invaded the Barn Dance this weekend. 100 rigs and a ton of great folks were here to take part in their Fall Mini Samboree hosted by the awesome folks from Sunny South Good Sams Chapter out of Lethbridge.
Four days of meetings, food, games, tours of the area and a whole lot of laughing and good times. What a great group of folks. We fed them our famous roast beef and chicken on Friday night with our Dinner Show and Saturday night with our dance. These folks can dance! And Eat!!
A very nice church service was hosted by some of our local LDS members from Hill Spring on Sunday morning. It was just beautiful. Thank you so much.
Breakfast was served after and then it was time to say good bye. We sure do love these Good Sams, they fit right into what we are doing out here at the Barn and they sure know how to have a good time. Thanks to everyone of you for attending. Please have a great winter and we hope to see you all again real soon.
