Family Festival Weekend 2008
Family FestivalOur Family Festival & Barn Birthday was soooo much fun. Our entertainers were excellent. We started Saturday off with the Barn Dance All Stars, then M&E, a great Choir from Pincher Creek, The Keister Family Fiddlers were here and did they ever win over the crowd. What a great family, The Barn Dance Kids did a great job as did Mr. Mysterio. The highlight of the day was Buckshot & Benny the Bear Show. These two kept the crowd in stitches and have not lost any of their talents over the years that made them the longest running TV show in Canada.
So many great families were here for the Weekend. The Walters brought a great RV Group from the Springbank area. The Larson Family reunion were here from all over the US. The Conrads, the Tolmans, the Johnstons, The Pelletiers, The Cales, The Nadeaus, The Linssens, The Clarks and so many more. Thank you so much for your support.
To all our volunteers, we could not have done this without you. Thank You. And to all the entertainers, we love you and thank you for your talents. See ya next week.

Week Of June 21st 2008

A Youthful Explosion.
This week saw the Barn full of kids for the whole week. We started on Tuesday with the Raymond Elementary School here for the day. They played on the sports field and had lunch. Wednesday we had the Tilley School Grade 4's & 5's here for a sleepover. They started with our roast beef dinner, the dinner show and then 2 hours of dance lessons and DJ dance. Then they all rolled out their sleeping bags and matts and slept the night away up on the Barn's dance floor. We had breakfast the next morning, some more dance lessons and then we said good bye. What a great group.
On Thursday night we had the Mill Creek Baptist Camp here. This is the second year that this group has come to the Barn. We had a blast. These folks know how to have a good time. After Dinner and the hayrides, we went upstairs and danced the night away. A special thanks to all the councilors from Mill Creek, you all are angels.
Friday night was our Dinner and Show. Gene had his Airstream Club here along with the great group from the Pemican Club from Lethbridge. Ken Fay had his Second 60's group from Calgary were here as well.
The Saturday night Barn Dance was a great time. We had Gail McFadden's dance group here from Calgary and a whole bunch of great families. Thnaks to everyone for making the night so much fun. See ya next week.
