What a Great Long Weekend - the hot weather didn't stop us from having an awesome time this week. We started on Wednesday with a barnfull of families. Lloyd's old class mate from Rosemary, Mr. Selk, brought his whole family out and we had a blast with them. The Framptons and the Fishers cut a rug as well.
On Thursday the Foremost Seniors came to see our Dinner Show. Now there was a van load of sweet ladies. We also had the Lions Youth Camp here and after the Dinner Show we all went upstairs for a DJ Dance. What a great group of kids. We also had the Gagnon family here from Cold Lake here all week. What a nice family. Keep on pickin Mjay.
Friday and Saturday saw us feeding a whole bunch of great people. The Steffans, the Jorgensons, the Mays, the Wallaces, the Kellas's, the Conarroe reunion, and a whole bunch more ate and danced the night away. Thanks for coming folks. We also had the ESL students from Lethbridge Community College here and the all the kids helped us with learning some new Japanese words. The Siegers from the Executive Royal Inn at Calgary were also here for the weekend. The weather started to cool down a little bit on Saturday which was a welcome site for all our guests. Our Ice Cream Social and Music Jam on Saturday was so much fun. We had some great singers and some great new beginner musicians. Thanks to Kendal and MJ for coming up and sharing your talents.

Smith Family invades the Barn - Wednesday saw the arrival of the Lorne Smith Family reunion here at the Barn. What a great family. The Gerlads showed up with their friends on Wednesday and stayed for the whole weekend. We sure had fun with this group from Kelowna. The Makelkis were here celebrating their 23 wedding annivesary. Thanks for sharing that with us Andy & Cathy. So many great families were for the weekend.
The Kidds, the Hilgartners, the Howels, the Rodebacks, the Simpsons, the Boonstras and it was great to see the Skinners again.
The hot weather continued through this week and it doesn't show any sign of letting up. With winter around the corner I think we will keep the hot stuff and just soak our heads more often. See ya next week.

Bluegrass & Classic Country Music Festival - What a week!! We started on the Wednesday night with our usual Dinner & Dance and ended Sunday morning with the 2 hour gosple jam. There were folks from all over north America and boy did we have fun. Lost Highway, The Abrams Brothers, Down to the Wood, Brett Kissel, Kayla Patrick, The Barn Dance Sweethearts, and the Barn Dance Allstars kept the 700 folks clapping, singing and dancing along for the whole weekend. A special thanks to all our volunteers who went far beyond the call to duty. And a very special thanks to everyone who attended. We could not have done it without you. Here Comes Historica - This week began on Wednesday night with 250 great kids from the Historica Youth Program. We fed them up and they danced like crazy all night. What a great bunch of kids. "TOBA, TOBA"
Thursday saw us entertaining our good friends from the Coaldale Seniors Group. Thanks Len for bringing the gang out again.
Friday saw the Mabbotts, the Donners, the McNabbs, the Hodgkinsons and the Blackburns to name a few and we also helped Jennifer and Bailey celebrate their birthdays.
Saturday saw the temperature rise and shaded seating was very popular for the Dinner that night. Some great groups joined us that night and even though it was hot everyone had a great time.
Now it's time to get ready for our 4th annual Bluegrass Festival this upcoming weekend.
