The Travelling Mabels
are a folk/country female trio full of spirit, spunk and laughter with a new highly anticipated second CD ready for the 2011-2013 touring season. Winners of the ACMA Group of the Year award for 2011.  Collectively, their songs bring a wealth of life experience to the stage. Singularly, each woman can vocally stand alone, but once you hear the combined harmony blend, you will know why these three women came together. The beauty of the Mabels is that they represent three generations of women. This has opened the door to a dynamic energy both musically and in the rapport with the audiences that most wouldn't experience every day. Read More...

The Spirit Hall
is equal parts rural and urban, nostalgic and visionary. With a core duo of guitarist/lyricist/melodist Tynan Groves and his violinist wife Shelly, their music taps into deep emotional undercurrents, inspired by everything from prohibition-era misadventures to the corkscrew journey that is parenthood. They are joined whenever possible by percussionist Jon May and upright bassist Rob Oxoby. Combining elements of their jazz and classical training with a DIY, Renaissance Man (or Liberated Woman?) attitude, their brand of experimental folk-rock leads them down many a sonic rabbit trail.

Michael Bridge
is the 2010 5th place Laureate in the Junior World Championships for classical accordion and a seventeen year old bilingual musician from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Still at a young age, his music has led him to Croatia, France, Italy; Las Vegas, Boston, Santa Clara and other parts of the USA. Notably, he has also performed with The Boston Pops, recorded two albums of his own compositions, and won 1st place at all major accordion festivals in western Canada.

Bob Williams  will be our open mic host and will be performing on the main stage on Saturday afternoon. Bob was born at Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, in 1948 to typical parents of the 40’s and 50’s, struggling to make a way of life for their family. Some of the earliest memories of his childhood centered around singing and playing music and it has never diminished. Today I have years of memories and friends to go along with them. Read More...
